Logistics & Venue Info

Fort Scratchley is located in the heart of Newcastle, right by the ocean. There are numerous accommodation options within walking distance or a short tram ride from Fort Scratchley (more details coming soon).

✈️ Air
If you fly into Newcastle Airport, a taxi ride to the centre of town will take approximately 30 minutes. Port Stephens Coaches also operate a bus service between the airport and centre of town.

If you fly in to Sydney Airport, you can take a 10-minute train ride to Central Station, where you can transfer to a train that will take you directly to Newcastle.

🚆 Train
A train journey from Sydney’s Central Station to Newcastle Interchange will take between 2.5–3 hours and cost approximately $10 each way. A tram operates between Newcastle Interchange and Fort Scratchley.

🚗 Car
Newcastle can be reached from Sydney by car in approximately 2 hours. Free on-site parking will be available at the conference venue, with space for 40 cars.
